A ceremony was held at UNESCO Palace on Friday, January 27, 2017, celebrating the final experimental phase of training as a part of the Francophone Initiative for Distance Education of Teachers (IFADEM) in Lebanon.

The different stakeholders in this project were represented by His Excellency , the Minister of Education and Higher Education Marwan Hamade, CERD President Dr. Nada Oweijane, Regional Director of the Community of Francophone Universities (AUF) Herve Sabourin, Dean of the Faculty of Education at the Lebanese University Dr. Therese al-Hachem, the Director General of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education Mr. Fadi Yarak represented by Head of the Directorate of Counseling and Guidance Ms. Hilda Khoury, and the Consultant of the Minister Mrs. May Layoun participated in the ceremony. The purpose of this ceremony was handing in success certificates for teachers in official primary schools in Tripoli and Akkar.
