CERD, in cooperation with the British Council and SKILD Center, held a dinner party at Phoenicia Hotel on the occasion of the National Day for Students with Learning Difficulties, under the patronage of the Minister of Education, Mr. Elias Bou Saab, who was represented by the Director General of Education, Mr. Fadi Yarak. Prominent attendees included MP Dr. Michel Moussa, head of parliamentary Human Rights Committee, MP Ghassan Mukhaiber, Dr. Hamad Bilal, Mayer of Beirut, Head of Teachers’ Union Mr. Ni’meh Mahfud, Directors of Public and Private Integrated Educational Institutes, in addition to other academic and educational dignitaries, and a delegation representing Jordanian educational institutions interested in this field. The occasion was opened by Mrs. Maysa Dawi with comments on the subject, followed by speeches by CERD President, Dr. Nabil Costa, Director of British Council, head of the Human Rights Committee and the Director General of Education
