With the great support of the President of the Center for Educational Research and Development Dr. Nada OWEIJANE, and with the collaboration of QITABI, the Educational Installations and Material Support Bureau at the CRDP has organized a two-day-workshop for the digital resources’ specifications kick-off set up.
This workshop aimed to determining these standards that shall be included in a manual booklet; that in addition to the evaluation cards, being an essential reference for the ratification of any educational resource. The cards include a description of all the necessary information in order to document any educational resource and facilitate access to it.
A description of the developed work mechanism after restructuring the departments and units of the Educational Installations and Material Support Bureau (within the Quality Framework Project at the CRDP, with the cooperation of the Reseau Canopé, and the Institut Français Du Liban) was presented, as well as its various stages including the printing and publishing endorsement, which is mainly contingent with the content and the structure criterion.
QITABI project has showcased the joint projects with the CRDP and MEHE, while the Digital Resources Production Unit’s Head at the CRDP has presented the workshop goal and various axes as well the draft of the Digital Resource Standards Guide and elucidated the functional plan for the future projects.
Dr. OWEIJANE participated in the activities of the various working groups and pointed out that this workshop falls within the framework of the modernization and the comprehensive development of the CRDP offices’ works, and considered that any step in the framework of the comprehensive educational renaissance and follow-up to the curricula will be based on precise and scientific standards.
Dr. OWEIJANE praised the cooperation between QITABI and the CRDP and noted that this workshop is one of the many other educational workshops that will take place under project QITABI; she also expressed her appreciation to the support and all the efforts made and commitments of the Faculty of Education at the Lebanese University, the Institut Français Du Liban, UNICEF and all concerned.
