Within the framework of the joint project between CRDP and UNICEF, the route towards the training services quality improvement was launched, under “Reaching All Children with Education II (RACE II) program", pillar 2 "enhanced quality of education services and learning environments provided, to ensure relevant, age-appropriate learning outcomes for children”.
This has brought together in the work of about 400 educational experts, academics and officials, coaches and staff at CRDP, who put into action structural and participatory works to study facts, and local educational policies and strategies.
More than 14 local and global institutions have cooperated all together Ministry of Education and Higher Education, UNICEF Lebanon, UNICEF USA, UNESCO, the State of Canada, the European Union, the American University of Beirut, the Clooney Foundation for Justice, HP Foundation, Google, Learning Equality Organization, Rubicon Atlas Foundation, World Bank, World Learning Organization and others.
This cooperation encompassed 6 projects at least as contribution or coordination (Inclusive schools project, Child Protection Policy project, Technology Learning Service project (T4L), Open means of educational project, Educational Development Plan II project and QITABI project).
The end result was the production of transformational and comprehensive competency framework for continuous training in three languages, set-up eight studies and researches, developed a method for training novice teachers, developed a curriculum for the training of trainers, prepared 59 training courses accordingly, 331 monitoring and evaluation academic tools, guided 255 trainers, trained 1022 trainers, and taking into consideration that the 200 trainers at CRDP have participated in four courses at least, and in return they have trained 11,258 teachers at 867 public schools.
